Plane Food!!!
It has been announced that BA are scrapping plane food for short haul flights, now I know most people hate plane food, but I love it!!
Plane food is one of the highlights of going on holiday….Picture this……
You get on the plane, strap yourself in, check out the safety sheet, open up the in-flight magazine check out the duty free, and snacks.
You look around to see if there are any screens, are you gonna get a movie?….well that looks like a screen over there! Then it starts the in-flight safety dvd, fantastic! we must be getting a film!
So you’re up in the air and settled, then you smell something.…no not the guy behind you with the bad BO…. it’s that familiar smell of food…..hmmm what is it can you guess? then it triggers your brain into “active plane grub mode” and all the questions start…
where am I sat on the plane?
how long til I get my food?
do I get served from the back or the front? which is quicker?
what will we be having?
what’s the veggie option?
when will they bring the drinks around? food comes soon after that
if I fall asleep will they wake me up?
then before you know it, here comes the trolley, woo hoo! it’s coming!
The stewardess passes you the tray, you try not to reach out and swipe it from her hands, and god feels like you haven’t eaten for ages! That’s it the foods in front of you, this is where the fun begins…..
You open up the hot compartment, mmmm looks nice, you open up your cutlery, put the salt and pepper on your dinner, put your hand wipe to one side for later, put your spoon by your dessert, open your roll and butter it, then open up your milk and stick it in your cup ready for tea, or coffee, and put all of your rubbish in a nice neat pile, then you tuck in!
You see plane food is great, its part of your journey, and for some people its one of the reasons for going on holidays in the 1st place, ok that’s a bit sad but you know what I mean :)
